The Subud Community Centre offers a large hall which is a great space for meetings, group or training activities and community events. The sprung wooden floor is suitable for low impact activities such as yoga, meditation or tai chi. An acoustic ceiling also makes it suitable for choirs or drama groups.

The recently renovated hall has free wifi, a new kitchen, air conditioning/heating and the whole site has recently been renovated to improve disabled access.

The main hall is 9.5m x 18.5m with a total floor area of 175 square metres. It can accommodate small or large meetings with a maximum capacity for 99 people and seats 60 at tables. Chairs and tables can be provided as requested.

Kitchen

There is small modern well-equipped kitchen with the option of removing a partition to connect it to the main hall providing an excellent set-up for tea/coffee breaks and light lunches.

The kitchen is equipped with an oven, an electric induction stove, fridge and cutlery, plates and cups.

The Centre is not available for weddings or parties.
We do make exceptions for baby showers and kids birthday parties for 5 year olds and under (with a bond required).

What are the Dimensions of the Hall?

The main hall is 9.5m x 18.5m with a total floor area of 175 square metres. It can accommodate small or large meetings with a maximum capacity for 99 people and seats 60 at tables.

How many toilets are there?

The hall has two unisex toilets.  One is accessible from inside the hall and the other is accessible from the rear foyer.

Parking and Public Transport

Limited parking is available on site, however the area around Kate Street Reserve on Lake View Street is only a one-minute walk from the Hall and can be used for additional parking.

Public Transport access:  Carlisle Train Station is a short walk from the community centre and many buses stop along Shepperton Road.  For more information and to plan your journey, contact Transperth

Can the Hall be Hired for Parties?

The hall is not available to rent for parties. We do make exceptions for baby showers and kids birthday parties for 5 year olds and under (with a bond required).

Is the building wheelchair accessible?

The building is compliant and has a disabled parking bay which is located at the rear of the hall very close to the ramp into the building.  Ramps are available at the front and rear of the hall.

Do you provide catering?

We do not provide catering services but there are many great local catering companies in the Victoria Park area.
